(chinese tian), (english farm field); This is a study sheet for the Chinese character tian. Ratbot V2 (designed and built by Albert circa 2008) This mini mobile robot is composed of a dual independent drive dc motor. There is a microcontroller programmed with an obstacle avoidance algorithm designed and programmed by Albert. The top of the robot has a servo motor controlled by the algorithm. The ratbot's head is an infrared (IR) sensor. The motors are driven by control lines from the microcontroller, via optically isolated relays. This ratbot is powered by two power supplies. 9.6v for the microcontroller, which has a 5v regulated SCR (silicon controlled rectifier) and 3v for the relays and motors. Ratbot V1 (designed and built by Albert circa 2007) This mini mobile robot is the prototype for Ratbot V2. The motor was hard-wired to the battery in order to test the drive motors. The wheels for Ratbot V2 were changed to a foam wheel as opposed to the hardened rubber wheel used in this version. Abstract Cathartic Art -- amc_hobart_s10_v6.mov This video with audio shows Albert drawing various pen and ink drawings. The video speed was increased by re-recording the video while playing the video at fast playback speed. Lady Bug Extreme Closeup -- aoa_amc_vam_ldybg_m1.mov This is an extreme closeup video of a lady bug, which Albert recorded in his workshop. A lens from a video camcorder eyepiece was used in order to get the extreme closeup footage. The audio was mixed in later for this piece. |
